Swing kids faded away Zurrieq FC dreams.

  After an excellent start for Zurrieq FC Swing kids came from behind to secure the three points. Alex Abdilla opened the score for Zurrieq after 8 min. In the 15 th min an unlucky own goalfrom Alex Abdilla levelled the score. In the final minutes a free shot was awarded for Swingkids after Zurrieq accumulated the sixth foul. Zurrieq FC were demolarised and in the second half Swing kids scored twice. Steven Hayman reduced the gap. In the dying minutes Swing kids added another to make the final score 5-2. 

Zurrieq F.C. won a very difficult match against a much improved Airm8s.

Winning this game for Zurrieq F.C. was imperative, to keep alive a spot in the semifinals. Zurrieq started this match with a different formation because some players were unavailable. Half way through the first half Airm8s took the lead after an own goal by Alex Abdilla. After a few minutes Abdilla levelled the score with a powerfull drive. Zurrieq were pushing to take the lead however in the dying minutes of the first half veteran player Franco Sant put Airm8s infront again. In the second half Zurrieq showed determination to win this game.  Tyron Borg was vital when he scored twice and finally bring home the three points. After this match Zurrieq now can believe that a second place can be achieved.   


 

The double for Zurrieq F.C. over St Helen B.C.
 

Winning this game was determinant for Zurrieq F.C. to take a breath after these last four games. Reuben Collins opened the score and soon after a tremendous freekick by Saviour Busuttil gave Zurrieq a 2-0 lead. After the break St Helens B.C. scored the first one but soon after Sammy Farrugia made it 3-1. Another Freekick was scored by St Helen B.C. but the game was not over as Trevor Briffa snatched the 4-2 for Zurrieq F.C. In the last minutes Frankie Sammut scored onother one to make the final score 5-2.
